LIGHT
BY: MICHAEL HOLUB
PROJECT 3
GOAL
The goal of this project was to design a chapel at Farmingdale State College. We were tasked with picking an area on campus and designing 3 chapels, a lobby, and the rest of the building. In the chapels, we were also tasked with finding different ways to use light in a peaceful manner. We can curve and reflect the light in many different ways.

LIGHT BACKROUND RESEARCH
The Exeter Library was built by Louis I. Kahn In 1971 in New Hamsher.

The coolest feature of this building has to be the ski light which light comes through the side and is reflated down into the interior lobby. It is probaly this buldings best feature.

This sections depicts how light is yoused and reflected into the interior space of the lobby.

SITE SELECTION

After finishing my sun angles and my contextual analysis I decided that the best possible location to get the most sun without worrying about any structures was the location next to Sinclare Hall. I felt that I had the most space to work with i this area and had the best sun angles.
